No. 20 - 22

 Bonjour les Classes!


This week, classes that had started the metis flower art completed their flowers and added the phrase "voici ma fleur" + a colour of their choice. All classes also had the opportunity to explore some French artifacts brought back from Paris, and watch a dedicated video to Andrew Sibbald from Paris using the language we have been learning to translate! 





In grade 4 and 5 we wrapped up Les Partis Du Corps with some puzzles. In grade 6 we wrapped up Les Emotions with a crossword. However, these will be continually used throughout the year to describe ourselves.

Nov 13 - 17

 Bonjour Les Classes!


Last week was so much fun celebrating International French Week and playing our French games, but this week is ALSO important to our French class. It is Metis Week! For Metis Week we learned about "les mots similaires" between French and the Metis language Michif, and how else they are connected. Students then created a photo for Metis Week and labeled the parts with "les mots similaires" in French and Michif. 





Grade 5 and 6 began creating some Metis flower art on Friday, we will finish this up this week by adding some French language and presenting our work.

Nov. 6 - 8

 Happy International French Week!



We had do much fun this week in grade 4,5, and 6 celebrating International French Week. Thank you so much to our volunteers from each class who did the date in French every day this week for morning announcement and presented an interesting French fact from their poster. 


The posters we completed last week look amazing around the school. 


Each class got paired up with a younger grade and taught them our French card game "Va A La Peche". Students used their French vocabulary and numbers to be leaders this week and we couldn't have done a better job!






June 17 - 21
