 Bonjour a tous!

This has been a busy week! Grade 4 has continued their work with school supplies by playing a new game Boom, Clap, Supplies! Where they need to listen and react to the correct French word. We also started some art with our Sac-a-dos go solidify some of the school supplies in French we have learned. Next week we will finish and have a opportunity to present.

Grade 5 has also been practicing the language of school supplies, with the addition of furniture as well. We created our own Bingo cards (LOTO in French) and used these to practice listening to vocabulary and writing it down. Grade 5's also started Sac-a-dos as a review from last year.

Grade 6 introduced directions. We use the new vocabulary around directions to navigate community maps and begin looking at full sentences and questions in French. For French Art Friday we began designing our own treasure maps which we will use to wrote directions to our hidden treasure!

As we brainstormed structures and buildings that we recognize in our community, we began to design our own neighborhoods and label them in French. Students played a game comparing neighborhoods and using their journal as a map to identify different vocabulary words and how these can be represented.
