 Bonjour les Familles!

This week, students presented their completed Animal Prefere pages from last week to the class. We practiced reading the writing we have accomplished outloud, and students in the audience would translate afterwards to demonstrate comprehension.

We also reviewed some of our numbers, grade 4's will have their Number Assessment next week up to the number 32, and grade 5's and 6's will have to write their numbers up to 60. This will be our final Number Assessment for the year. Review is on Google Classroom

 Bonjour Tout le Monde!

This week we expanded what we have been learning about animals to prepare for an upcoming project.

Grade 4 and 5 had the opportunity to revisit some animal games and strengthen that vocabulary. We also started Mon Animal Prefere, where students use descriptive words and sentence starters to describe their favorite animals.

Grade 6 is learning about animal habitats, and their importance. After doing some interactive group work on habitats and animals, we explored a virtual tour of the Montreal BiƓdome. Students recorded animals, foods, enrichment, and environments from video in French in their visual journal.

May 6 - 10

 Bonjour a tous!

This week we really focused on our numbers! We learned a new card game which has us adding numbers (grade 4 up to 30, grade 5 up to 50, and grade 6 up to 70).

Students who have completed their Animal Squash Books practiced their French animal vocabulary in an "interview" and had to both identify the animals that they had illustrated in French, and locate animals by listening to the French name.

We have also been practicing listening and responding to questions about the day, time, and school day. We had the opportunity to use this new vocabulary and begin to ASK questions in French with our game Quelle Heur Est Il Monsieur Loup... also known as What Time Is It Mr. Wolf.

 Bonjour Les Classes!

This week we explored a few more games (indoors due to rain), and students completed their Animal Squash Books. New games included Animal Ball, where students now need to recall Animal names and translate as they pass the ball around to classmates.

Students who are finished their Squash Books also started an Animal Word Search creator. We will finish these next week and give students time to share their puzzles with others.
